Time Domain Astronomy question

For this hackathon, would making something that focuses on data related to objects in our solar system (such as the sun or planets) collected over a period of time count as time domain astronomy, or do our projects have to focus on objects outside our solar system?

anything in astronomy. The initial discussion tomorrow morning should give you some examples, but yes, anything where time is a factor (but you have to convince the judges on Sunday).

Typically, Time Domain Astronomy encompasses anything that has a time critical component. They could be Target of Opportunity observations - events that happen and have a time critical window during which they must be observed - or Cadence observations - observations that happen over a period of time to better understand the behavior and characteristics of the object. The important aspect in regards to your question is that these classifications have nothing to do with the origin aside from being outside of our planet.
